Level 22 Chambers has two dedicated readers’ rooms. Each is available for a 12 month licence. One room is available at the commencement of the May Bar Practice Course, and the other at the commencement of the September course. It is preferable, but not necessary, that readers have a tutor on the floor.
These two rooms are provided to successful applicants free of charge other than for each reader’s consumables. Similarly sized secretarial rooms are also available for a modest fee subject to availability.
Near the conclusion of their 12-month licence readers may have the opportunity to apply for a 12-month licence in a non-member room on the Floor.
Ordinarily, applications for the “May” room close on the last day of April in the preceding year. Applications for the “September” room close on the last day of August in the preceding year.
Any further enquiries can be made of the Clerk. Applications should ideally include a covering letter, curriculum vitae and academic transcript. Applications should be sent directly to the Clerk:
Level 22’s present Readers are Brendan May and Tom Bateman.
